Restoring data through basic file undeletion

Data restoration can constitute many things, but what it usually boils down to is undeleting files erased by mistake. When you delete a file, whether in the recycle bin or by using the shift delete function, it is not totally gone yet. All that has been erased is the label of the file and so it can still exist on a hard drive or removable storage media. To recover these deleted files, all you need is a capable undelete program for data restoration. With a third party data recovery program, you can look for recycle bin files, deleted files and sometimes even overwritten files. Overwritten files are much more difficult to rescue though.
